Before this site was born, I did a series of site designs that were intended to be built with CSS, PHP, and HTML. Even though I never ended up polishing them or building them, I thought it would be a nice little showcase of a variety of graphics done by me for my personal site project.
I’ve already got the itch to re-template this site and go hacking away at the CSS.

Basically all these designs involved a lot of scanning from my collection of books and some basic Photoshop work. If I had used them, of course they would have been refined a bit more. These were just proofs that got thrown on the wall and then never used when I decided I wanted a site with CMS backend.
One of my personal side projects is to design a logo and a website for SlipMat. I already have a really neat bit of HTML5 code that I’m going to use for the site that incorporates Javascript to build this really nice, simple interactive animation. So… while that’s in the works, here is the first rendition of the logo I have created:

SlipMat - NC/Philly DnB
I’m going to experiment with taking this logo in a different direction. This version is pretty docile and plane and sort of references old school vinyl and a more classic look (for the EDM community). I’m going to do a more dynamic version with more texture and/or movement and see how it compares. I felt like this approach suited Matt’s style and personality more but I would like to design something a bit more eye catching.

This is a new blog version of my portfolio that encompasses all of WordPress’ CMS capabilities.
It will include my photography work, my design work, and my web development work.
Here is a link to my old portfolio site built years ago with tables..
And an easy link to my resume.
